Collection: Glass Gates

Glass Gates ranging from 8mm to 12mm thick Glass and different hinge fix options.

We recommend selecting hinge type before gates and hinge panels are chosen.

TESTED & CERTIFIED - Our 8mm, 10mm, & 12mm glass is tested and certified as complying with the requirements of Australian & New Zealand Standard 2208:1996 – Safety Glazing Material in Buildings.

GLASS FACTORY - All steps in production process reach the highest quality levels.

TEMPERING OVEN - Toughened glass is made from annealed glass via a thermal tempering process. The glass is placed onto a roller table, taking it through a furnace that heats it above its annealing point of approx. 700°C. The glass is then rapidly cooled with forced air drafts. Of critical importance in glass processing is the tempering furnace used.

  • Furnace can toughen up to 2440mm x 3600mm glass.
  • Specially designed furnace for heavy glass – Optimally toughens 8mm thick and above.
  • On-site mechanic ensures regular maintenance.
  • Punch testing of toughened glass every hour as per Australian Standards.

FLOAT GLASS -

  • All glass is processed from the same float glass supplier.
  • Quality and die batch of glass remains consistent.
  • Strict quality checks to ensure only conforming float glass is processed.

DOUBLE EDGE POLISHING MACHINES -

  • Perfect polish and blemish free edges.
  • Horizontal double edge polishing machines give the finest edge finish.
  • Speed of glass through edging machine is monitored.
  • Quality control personnel check each sheet of glass.
  • Sophisticated water filtration system ensures clean water is used during polishing.

DETAILED QUALITY CONTROL - At each stage of production (cutting, polishing, drilling, tempering and packing) dedicated Quality Control Personnel inspect each sheet of glass. Glass identified as not conforming to the highest quality standards is set aside. Random sampling of glass is undertaken to ensure compliance with detailed quality assurance specifications relating to glass surface finish, edge finish, labelling identification, packing specification and the like. Quality assurance reports are provided to us and the factory to ensure the highest standards are continually achieved and monitored. Full ERP system implemented with each sheet barcoded: records kept showing exact time glass processed at each step of production = industry leading manufacturing. GASP testing machine:

MEASURING SURFACE STRESS IN TEMPERED GLASS - to ensure optimal tensile surface strength. Testing with the GASP machine allows optimisation of furnace settings; ensures conformance to specifications and avoids under or over-stressing glass.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL IN PACKING - At the packing stage of production, all glass panels pass-through purpose-built inspection racks where there is a 100% QC check to ensure only glass panels that conform to strict requirements of edge work, flatness, squareness, perfect radius corners and a range of further detailed specifications are allowed to be packed.
